Bringing Caring Closer
For nearly two decades, Rhode Island MENTOR has provided community-based services to children and families at-risk and individuals with developmental disabilities. Our services include residential options, such as our Shared Living and Therapeutic Foster Care programs, as well as other community-based supports for the individuals we serve and their families.

At Rhode Island MENTOR, we believe that building and maintaining relationships – with friends, family, caregivers, and the community – is central to an individual’s development and personal success.  This belief serves as the foundation of our services, which are provided by a network of local caregivers called “Mentors,” who share their homes – and their hearts – with the individuals we serve.

Together, the children and adults we serve, their families, Mentors, program staff and our public partners form a community of caring – renewing hope, strengthening the spirit and creating positive change.
